WIN Helps Navigate the Perilous Terrain of the Fiscal Cliff


On March 25, 2013, AFCEA Women in NOVA (WIN) held a luncheon panel at the Virginia Tech Applied Research Corporation (VT-ARC) to examine the Post-Election Landscape: "Sequestration, Fiscal Cliff, Continuing Resolution - What Does it Mean? How Will it Affect You?” The highly regarded expert guest speakers included: Gretchen Anderson, Director, Revolving Funds, Office of the Undersecretary of Defense (Comptroller); Chris Condon, Principal Director, Deputy CIO for Resources and Analysis, Office of the DoD CIO; and Kelly Fitzpatrick, Senior Advisor, Congressional Activities Office, Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence.

AFOSR Spring Review


The Virginia Tech Applied Research Corporation (VT-ARC) and the Basic Research, Innovation, and Collaboration Center (BRICC) hosted the annual Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR) Spring Review from March 4-8, 2013 in Arlington, Virginia. During the five day showcase, AFOSR Program Officers identified the most challenging and exciting scientific opportunities within their portfolios and described how their portfolios might lead to transformational AF capability(ies). VT-ARC helped facilitate interactions with stakeholders from academia, private sector leaders, and other government agencies to identify and develop new collaboration opportunities.
