On Saturday, February 22nd, Frank Fitzgerald from VT-ARC’s contracting office braved frigid air and water to raise money for the Special Olympics. He and his team, “The Chillbillies,” took the plunge into a 39oF New River along with approximately 400 others. Frank and his team raised nearly $3,000 this year. Over the past 11 years that they’ve participated in the New River Polar Plunge, the Chillbillies have raised $36,119. The overall goal for the 50 participating teams this year was $55,000 which they surpassed by getting donations near $60,000.
